Kimberly had to say...

I am a 44 year old woman who is a crazed reader.I usually choose novels with a some depth, but am not immune to a little trashy fluff once in a while. My son dubed me a book pusher when he came home from collage and found his room had been turned into a used book store. What can I say , I found a good thing and got a little carried away...              I have really loved being a member of  PaperBackSwap, and am looking forward to chatting with other members and enthusiastic readers like myself.

Likes and dislikes

I like quirky unusual things, not to the point of tacky but classy unique things that stand out in a crowd.  Large jewelry, especially pins, handcarved items, vintage clothing , purses, and other items from the 20's through 50's. Books; Pretty much the same classification as the first line. I find myself reading a lot of NYT Bestsellers, and an unusual title will always draw me in.

I don't like frilly, plaid,  flowered or preppy. Books ; no Harlequin type romance, not really into murder mysteries. and if it's chick lit it had better have some substance.

We don't have to be online at the same time to send or receive a message... you should get an email if someone sends you a comment - on your account page, there should be a 'personal messages' button where you can read and reply to your messages. It works like email, but I think the founders were trying to protect our anonymity by doing it this way. I hope this helps!

Sorry if I didn't answer your original question... I don't know if there's an easier way, but the only way I've noticed so far to send messages is on a person's profile page. I came accross your name because you reviewed more than one book I was interested in, so I looked up Kimberly in the profile directory, and on your profile page, there was an option to send you a message. After you get a message it's easier to reply and keep a potential conversation going.
